Today is my last day at this boring temp job that has been slowly sucking my will to live.  I go back to school in a few weeks and in the meantime I'm packing up boxes, unpacking boxes, and then destroying boxes which could potentially be a home to some unfortunate Bostonian.

This weekend I will be exploring a festival in the North End of Boston where the true Italianos dwell.  Tons of food and food and food and dudes that I'm positive are castmembers of The Sopranos.  I'm also going to check out this sailing festival up in Salem (yep..where the the witchy women dewll).  Should be tons of fun.

I've recently started Tai Chi and I fumble my way  through it most mornings.  I do believe I am much more skilled at "conjuring up spirits" whilst various smooth artists are playing in the background, but I'm told this will help chill me out a bit and we all know how Chrissy on caffeine can be!

I've recently been fighting West Nile Virus.  Oh yes...I really am a professional hero.  Wrapped up my internship at the local health department and was able to do some nasty inspections AND drop larvacide in mosquito catch basins throughout the community.  Umm....yeah..it's still me - Chrissy.  Strange, huh?

Recently joined Netflix and willing to take any suggestions, but please...no  foreign films about midgets or monkeys.

:)

- Standstill by Hardkandy

Today was a mix of happiness and longing.  Ever have one of those days?  I heard someone once describe it as a feeling of nostalgia.

So....I'm listening to one of my fave tunes entitled 'Standstill' and suddenly I'm reminded of one of my best memories. It was my 25th birthday.  I was in Columbia, South Carolina when my favorite TFC girls came to pay me a visit. Classic "Hell Yeah!" moment was NOT Claud attempting to Nad's - which caused quite a stir with Salfred as I remember, but it was later in the evening when Miss V (clearly not over 21 and surely without a fake id) calmly walked past the bouncer of this busy bar and mingled her way through the crowd while we fumbled through our wallets looking for ids and cover charges.  By the way, Miss V - you still rock so hard for that!

The next day we visited Charleston, SC and flopped ourselves on the beach.  I went off and searched for sanddollars and when I came back I found all three of you stretched out on the blanket relaxing - my three compadres....each one so different from the next and such a blessing to me.  That moment is forever etched in my mind.  Thank you for that.

Miss V, Claudella, SallyAnn- I hope you each know how much I love and care for you.  It's been years since we floated around in the Cabrio, but I can still feel that familiar tug in my heart for you and I still love you all just as tenderly.

Just felt the need to express my love today.  Yeah....I know....I'm pretty wonderful like that.

Rainy Sunday morning in Boston.  Attempting to study for my Epi class, but oh so not feeling it.

Went on a little harbor cruise this past Friday night and enjoyed myself with a few friends and a beverage or 2.  weeeeee!

Excitement for this week - while waiting for the subway an 80 year old man commented that my teeth were incredibly white and that he would love the opportunity to take me out for a cup of coffee sometime.  Ummmm....yesth.....this is what my life has come to - 80 yr old men flirting with me.  oy.  :)

So......does almost a year of not posting anything make me a wanker?

Finishing up my semester at BU and trying to figure out what comes next this summer.  Should I cut bangs?  Travel to Mexico?  Become a vegetarian?  Who knows....

Xanga

Ummm...so Claudia, aka "Claudella", aka 'Dell' sent me to her site a long time ago and I was frightened yet intrigued - kinda like the way I feel about midgets, clowns, trolls, and garden gnomes.  It's months later and I am beginning my own little page.  Hit me up and make me laugh so hard that my pancreas hurts.

Later taters!
